Hi Guys,

It's been a very busy time lately, and a lot of fun. This is a drum clinic solo I did at a music store north of Atlanta a couple of weeks back.

Nice Matt!  Thanks for checking in!

The flam combos on the hi-hat were pretty sweet!

I really like this. Especially the first song... nice acoustic but it had that feeling... that feeling that was reassured by the following songs.

The other band is nice as well, but I like Killing Chloe better.

There's a better sense of continuity with Killing Chloe's material. I really like that it's a darker, more groove oriented outlet for me. With Render Zero, it was more about spontaneity. We weren't sure of the direction we wanted to go, so we just tried everything.

Just a couple more from me, but they're about as different as you can get.

This one was a photo montage put to several excerpts of a Coltrane/Miles CD I did in Bucharest, Romania just before I started the 9th grade. A student at a local college just did it for me as a surprise Christmas gift. It was cool to see the Romania pictures from when I lived there, and it was interesting to hear the drumming and compare it to now.

This was my recent appearence on CNN Headline News that described WFD. I was of course out of practice for that stuff, you wait a long time without warmup in the pre interview etc...Then at the end I'm laughing at the host when he does a drumometer run because we were allowing him to buzz and cheat in other ways.

Great job, everyone!  Inspiring!

Here's our take on the Allman Bros. "Soulshine".  It was recorded at a local spot, Cicero's, which has a very nice PA and soundman who didn't mind at all micing an unported kick!  Recording was made with a Sony portable DAT thru a stereo mic ... didn't turn out too bad.

Here's a link to a video from my former band Army of Trees.  We had a blast making this, and I even got to do some "acting."  The song is called Love Expressway.  The drumming is pretty representative of my style -- straight-ahead surfpunk.

This is a video clip me playing to one of Tommy Igoe's "Groove Essentials" backing tracks. I used my Roland kit (TD-12). The audio was recorded with a Tascam portastudio and later mixed with the video using Final Cut Pro. I put in a green screen effect in case my playing is too boring... http://www.outawhack.net/drum-n-toons.mov The video uses Quicktime.

I posted some of this stuff before in the percussion section, but maybe this thread will give it more exposure.

Here is a video I made yesterday on my evolutional Indigenous Roots Kit. I try to play complete parts with both feet and hands.
