Ding, fries are done!

I decided to buy some soft cases to protect my drums.  I looked for the cheapest sets from Guitar Center and some other places, but all I could find were these extremely cheesey vinyl cases with no cushion.  I want cheap, but not that cheap! Smiley   Anyway, I found this set at Musician's Friend and thought I'd pass it along: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=03010321230

I just received them tonight and was very happy with the quality for the price paid.  Wow, for only $89 and they're better than the stuff I found for double the price.  It's a good deal that I wanted to pass along.

Will do on the update, but that might take awhile.  The only thing I have coming up is a gig in a jail next week. Shocked   My main band recently got back together and we won't have anything set up for at least another several months.

Early observations: heavy duty zippers, padded handles, separate shoulder straps, and hardware appear very strong, but the shoulder straps aren't padded.  The real test is how well the stitching holds up.  And, I need to see how the drums fit in the cases with the I.S.S. mounts installed.

exactly.  i had a hardware bag hit the floor on the way home from a gig.  the stitching for the shoulder strap just gave out.  but i was using a $10 bag beyond its designed capability Smiley  and its handles still work great.
