I might invest in a set of drums from Trick this year. Not related to any tax refund, just something new. Also looking at a cajon and some hard cases.

My old Guitar player will be taking his Korg 16 Track XD Digital Recorder in the next week or two. I will be buying one of my own. I don't like relying on other peoples equipment. Nutty

My next piece of gear needs to be a recorder, too. I was on that kick for a bit, but I got distracted. I really need to do a Ton of recording and listening this year.

I usually owe Uncle Sam and I just got great deal on a kit via Ebay so no more acquisitions for a while.

Pay off any credit card debt. Insure yourself against a hike in mortgage repayments or a sudden loss of income. By most accounts, the next couple of years could be a rocky ride.

I'm still waiting on some stuff I ordered in November. Maybe it's better that some of it was backordered, it's kind of like a present when it comes two months after you paid for it.

Ive been whitteling away at CC debt C.W. and 90% of my refund will go towards just that. I agree whole heartedly with your additional thoughts.

Just found an odd diagonal 1 inch crack about an inch in on my 16" sig. fast crash. So I'm preparing to replace that. I've actually reached the material point where all I should do is PLAY!

Well, I think like many, my tax refund will go to paying off debt.
However, I will certainly still share my list!
New kick head, SKII Rack - possibly a Pearl ICON New double pedal. Iron Cobra, unless i can work up the $$ for an Axis double longboard I am in desperate need of a new Hi-Hat stand. Tama actually makes a very good one.
I've been thinking of a round of batter heads. Using EC2's now, might try G2's. Since we're wishfully thinking here, I'll go on- Timbales Bongos, Djembe Chrome cowbell? Hey, why not? One is always in need of more cymbals. Oh, and not to forget the matching Conga's

I have already purchased a new Tama throne with back rest and it feels quit good. I also purchased a 20" K Custom Dark ride cymbal and two K Dark splashes. A 16" and a 17". They have a truely fantastic sound IMHO. I was looking for something new to used with some Jazz and Blues music Iam now working with. I was able to get a discount on each piese, however I learned that Zildjian had increased their prices on Jan.1, 2008. The store manager gave me the price thatwas in affect when they purchased them and then also gave a twenty per cent discount on the three pieces. In addition tp the discount my family had given me a discount card for Christmas. All in all I made quit good.
