Hope you have a great time Hannah; wish I could be there.

I think it's worth mentioning to many who may not know ...

While the musical instruments and products our industry produces can be purchased and enjoyed by everyone, NAMM Membership is restricted to a select group of  companies who meet the association's Membership criteria, in general, those companies that manufacture, distribute and/or retail musical instruments/products. Likewise, attendance at NAMM trade shows is restricted to “trade only” companies (not open to the public).

There is a way for anybody to get to go to NAMM.

Recording Academy members (the organisation that awards the Grammys) are given invitations to both the big NAMM show in Anaheim and the summer NAMM in Austin, Texas.

You can become a Recording Academy Associate member by simply paying the dues.

Note that those invites are limited to the first 750 responders.

Also NARAS' accuracy leaves something to be desired. After calling a few days ago to aske where my badge was, they gave me an address I'd never heard of.

Hey Hannah,
Just thought I would let you know that Max is out there from MOMS.  I have a friend that works for a music equipment repair house in California that invited me back during PASIC but to far and to much money. Have a great time and take some Photos and keep us posted if you have time?

Hey Frank,

I don't know about a diary but I'll get some great pics...already started with the Vater Artist Dinner last night.

Won't get them posted however until after I return home.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for letting me know Max is out here.  I'll be sure to try and look him up.  Should have some good photos to post once I return back to Chicago.

Hey Hannah, I'm still trying to get your show here....Have fun and say "Hi" to Bermuda for me. Wish I was there. No car, just a cane. Hauling drums is another story. But I can still play! Provided I can get there.   Roll Eyes
