I have gotten those several times from playing congas but never from playing drum set.  I imagine you could do it on a drum set if you were really trying to play loud and you played for quite some time.  The solution to my problem was not try to play along with five jimbes and still be heard.  Of course that's easier said than done.  Jimbes are louder than congas, and now I am thinking of another solution.  When I get those injuries I always think I am doing something wrong and I should probably change it.  So, microphones or even stands for my congas so they sound louder might  work.  Anyways I hope you resolve your problem.  Chau, Joe
