Just want one to learn on, and eventually will start using a standard drum kit. Will mainly be playing indie, so dont need anything heavy duty.

Want to spend about £200-£250 GBP on ebay, is this enough, or do I really need to spend more?

Any advice? Any particular kits I should look at? Thanks

I think that if you are new to drumming, only want something to practice on, and plan to purchase an acoustic drumkit later on ... I would say that any electronic drumkit, as long as it works, would be just fine.

You'll be hard pressed to find anything really good for that kind of money; you would need to spend more.

My suggestion would be to find something, then check back with the Drummer Cafe and get some opinions on the kit you are looking at. To suggest brand names alone only really won't help you, and I have no idea what's on the market right now as far as used gear.

Right, I've had a look, here's what I've found on ebay.

SESSION PRO DD506 - Around £350

SESSION PRO DD505 - Around £250-300

Alesis DM5 - Around £250

Are any of these really worth getting? Bearing in mind I want to take drumming seriously and really get into it.
