hey everyone- been browsing this site for months and finally registered, I have a lot of respect for this forum. no nonsense responses and wisdom from some knowledgeable fellow drummers. thanks. I have been playing for the majority of my life (that i can remember) and I'm convinced I have found an excellent resource with excellent members.                      my question is, have any of you had any experience with rewrapping your kit or removing the current wrap and applying a stain or lacquer finish? I have an all maple kit but I have grown a bit tired of the lime green wrap. I have a little experience woodworking but not on my set. a large gamble if there is a screw up. upon close inspection it seems that the wrap may be difficult to get off. anyone attempted this? under the wrap good enough to be turned into an all natural stain and clearcoat or do the kits with this kind of finish have a specially selected outer layer?       thanks
