He also plays there Friday evenings @ 5 pm, I saw him there a couple of times. It's a great show!
If you want to talk to him, it's best to do so either before or in between sets b/c most of the times he's off to the Lion King right after he plays.
He's a great teacher too. I try and catch up with a lesson here and there with him. When I was in High school, I did lessons with him full time. Then he used to come to my house and I don't even want to say how much he charged me.

I have not caught him yet myself. It's a summer goal for sure.

Chris,
In response to your question about a Top 40 DVD: I was wondering if you have looked at the "Drum Set Crash Course" by Russ Miller.
I think the material there is really good for the beginner, although unfortunately, Warner Brothers did not do a great job of putting it all together. The Video does not convey the enthusiasm that you see with Tommy Igoe or Pat Petrillo and every page of the book is so packed with information that it is not easy to read. If the book were spiral bound it would be helpful because at leat it would be easier to keep the book open on the stand.
He does go through eight styles of music with a little bit of depth. He includes a brief history of the genre, a basic groove, groove variations, fill ideas, relative volume levels for each voicing and a list of suggested listening.
If you have looked at it I was interested in your thoughts on the material that is presented.
Thanks
