By classic Fibes I mean the drums made by Martin. I once saw Alan Dawson playing on the same set that I have; copper 4 piece Fibes. Unfortunately welding on the snares is flawed and I have wires breaking off. When Martin got out of the drum business they sold their parts and hardware to Corder Drums, a company that seems to have gone out of business since I bought some replacement snares from them in the early 90's. Does anyone know if Corder sold their inventory to someone or if there are still parts being made to those specs. The snares attach to 2 tiny screws on each end. I haven't been able to find snares that fit my drum. I also need a strainer knob. I bought one from Corder but it had the wrong thread. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Showguy, you are right on the money. I just rebuilt an old Fibes a friend brought to me. When I went to the local shop to get snare wires for it, those were the exact same wires. He told me that those are the only wires made for Fibes. Don't know if that's true, but those were the wires I put on it. Great sounding drum too.
