Hey, just have a couple questions regarding the original psych red Ludwig classic maple kits.

1.) Did Ludwig ever make a virgin kick in psych red?

and

2.) Did they ever make them any bigger than 22"x14"?

I'm looking around on ebay for these, and it's really limited.

I understand that this might be hard to answer, but it's worth a try.

Thanks

You could order a bass drum with no tom mounting hardware (virgin).  Some 'pre configured' sets, like the double bass "Rock Duo" set came with undrilled bass drums.  Drum set bass drums in 18", 20", 22", and 24" were the most popular at the time, but Ludwig offered bass drums from their Classic line as large as 14x28.  Again, you could order them separately with or without mounts and with or without spurs.

FWIW - I see the #2010 Phychedelic Red finish showing up for the first time in the 1971 catalog.
