I've been pondering a switch to clear tom heads. I think the clear heads would be a bit more resonant and possibly have a bit more low end.

Thoughts?

I think they might be brighter.

The same head in coated should have more warm tones than in clear.
Many clear heads are thicker though, which tends to emphasise the low end.
