Do you watch Battlestar Galactica?

Here is a great article about what sounded like a very cool event and a pretty nice insight to telvision scoring:

Sci-fi genre and space setting aside, I really think its one of the better things that has ever been on TV.

So say we all!

Oh - I SO wanted to make it down to LA for one of those nights.

First - I love the music and the show - and just love seeing and hearing music like this performed (and really love seeing other people that have never been on a scoring stage getting to see and hear it as well).

Second - I've known both Steve Bartek and John "Vatos" Hernandez forever (I mean decades!). Steve was in my fusion band for a number of years - and besides being one of the best orchestrators in modern film, would be my vote for most under-sung guitarist on the planet. As is Vatos as a drummer, as I think I've posted here before.

Oh well - maybe next time - and hopefully there will be a next time.
