It's not too late to get better!

I'm considering extending my slave pedal on my double bass pedal setup to land on the left of my hat.  I just did a quick look and found nothing about em online.   I'm talking about the rod that connects the slave pedal to the main pedal.  I would assume one could get different lengths.  I'm searching using the terms slave pedal "extension" or "connecting" rod/shaft.  Am I using the correct terminology for the part? Anyone else have to find one of these and have some advice?

Sorry for not being of assistance but I am also really interested.
The way I have it now is almost completely under the snare.

Just wanted to double the amount of people asking this.  Tongue

Good to know that I'm not the only one Tongue  The rep at the local store was not very helpful.  Hopefully, someone on the cafe KNOWS Smiley

What brand of pedal do you have?

Taye, PSK602C.  The connecting shaft (male part) that comes with the double pedal is a 10" long, hex shaft about 5/16" thick with a covered u-joint on one end. If I could get this in a 16" length I'd be happy. Or the whole shaft assembly, male and femal pieces, as long as the ends connect to the part on the pedal.  Does the picture help...

Got to the hardware store and buy a piece of hex stock.  Cut the stock to length and take the u-joint off the piece you have and put it on the stock you bought.  If I remember correctly there is a rolled pin through the u-joint holding it on the hex stock.  Use a drift and drive it out and reinstall and you are all set.  If you are not mechanically inclined, stop by your local machine shop and tell them what you want.

Yes.  Make your own!  I was shocked how much that link actually is (not longer length, but just as a replacement part).

I have a Tama IC, and I went to the store and box HSS (box tube..1/2" if I remember correctly).  I drilled/tapped 4 holes (2 per end) for 1/4-20 bolts.  Then, I just replaced the "middle link" with my homemade link.

I realize you have a different pedal...so I guess I wasn't much of help.  You are correct, though, I have not seen any "extension" links for double kick pedals on the market...and they would more than likely be expensive anyway.
