Great Quotes

"I started practicing playing uncomplicated things and solid time. To play as simply and as unnoticed as I could, became as challenging as playing at a high energy level. They're still both equally challenging to me."

Hey Cafe-"sters":

I'm going to be performing in NYC with Pacifika for a couple of shows:

Sunday, May 4 @ the Bowery Ballroom http://www.boweryballroom.com/calendar/show/1257/ (opening for the Waifs, as you can tell)
Monday, May 5 @ SOB's http://www.sobs.com/images/pacifika.jpg

It's a really cool little band; I'll be playing a hybrid-percussion/drumset rig.

Hope to maybe meet some new drummer friends!

enjoy!  Bowery is a great venue, the sound on stage is excellent.

SOB's is a great venue, the sound on stage is absolute @$%# though.  But the energy in the room (and the food!) always makes up for it.

I've heard great things about the Bowery.

funny, I've also heard about the food at SOB's  Wink

thanks for the heads up for the stage sound. what, in your opinion, is the issue? sh@$%y monitors? too few monitor mixes?

I'm interested in your take on the stage there. We try hard to keep our stage volume on the low-side, btw. Sometimes that can help, but, if you can't hear yourself...
