Hanging drums has been outlawed as "cruel and unusual".  Most states have adopted the use of lethal injection or the electric chair while there are a few jurisdictions that still use the firing squad.

Sorry, Drumshot....I couldn't resist.  But seriously, are you just trying to mount (hang) toms on a bass drum with a "rims" type system or are you trying to actually suspend drums with rope, bungee cords, etc?  From what are you attempting to hang the drums?

Or maybe "suspended toms" that hang from a stand? I have a Mapex set where the 2 floor toms are mounted to a stand with no legs.  Undecided

Well, I do like floor toms standing on their legs, too.
