I'm right here, Felix - whassup?

Maybe I should get people caught up.

Ahem.

Buy cheap major-brand drums; use 42-strand snares; yes, bottom heads DO make a difference; PLAY AN ACROLITE OR DIE; learn to read music; listen to (and play) more than one style of music; and for heaven's sake, take some lessons!

There. I believe my work here is done.

I've got to admit I've missed that no nonsense commentary of late.
 Undecided

Maybe Felix and I are hanging out in the wrong parts of The Cafe?

I admit I've been arguing more about bassists than drummers.  Embarrassed

Al of a sudden I believe I am feeling quite superfluous...what is the point in continuing?

Howdy.  Good to hear you are ok and hopefully your cymbals are high and dry.

I have been thinking of you and wondering if the whirling dervish of zoltan technique will ever be handed down to a worthy individual?  *Tis a very lofty wish my friends*

Yes I have been hanging out in the wrong parts of the cafe as I don't poke my head in here much.

I will be visiting my B/O acro in a few weeks at my friends. Maybe he will give it back to me if I beg borrow or steal?  I don't think his kid gives it the respect it deserves  Angry *little brat*  Ya know, that torques me off.

But it's good to hear and see you.  Long live the Acro!

Mr. A...
I never heard or else I missed the news entirely...how is/was the frozen shoulder?
Are the crashes back to flying at full mast?
Cheers, Bob

Cool, I feel like another year is complete. See you guys next summer!

The techniques, though they play an important role in the early stage, should not be too restrictive, complex or mechanical. If we cling to them, we will become bound by their limitation.  Any technique, however worthy and desirable, becomes a disease when the mind is obsessed with it.

I'm very happy to see some of the old regulars around. After my problems, today I am putting up a set again and getting back at it. I may walk with a cane, but can still kick butt on a set.  Grin

It was actually really amusing to see I still rank third in post count.  Y'all need to get crackin'.

For what it's worth, I wasn't gone for any dramatic reason.  Just taking a breather.  Smiley

Although I am now drumming in a new band, equally esoteric music and gear as my others though  Grin    I'll get links and such up eventually.

Thanks for the welcome back. Things got really busy here, but also just needed break. Like Mr. A, there are only so many times I can repeat myself before I question what it is I'm bringing to the discussion.
