Repin' the Ludwig!

A few months back I received an e-mail from Sabian saying that their newer Vault Series cymbals are replacing their Signature Series. I plan on getting a set of the Vaults in about a month or so because I personally think they sound really good. Drum legend Mike Portnoy is supposedly switching to them so, to me, that means they are really good quality. I guess the point of this post is to see what everybody thinks of Sabian discontinuing their Signature Series for the Vaults.

They aren't really discontinuing the Signature brand, they're just putting the Signature cymbals under the Vault umbrella.

They're great cymbals, I own a set of Vault hi-hats that I love, and a Virgil Donati Signature Saturation Crash that I also love.

I like the Vault line.  I have two vault crashes that are really nice.  I've played the rides and hats in the local music shop and liked them too.

yes, Sabian is simply shuffling their categories. Vault is now the category for 'special' stuff, signatures, one-offs, etc.
