Hey guys, as you may or may not know(or even care), I've been really getting into Antonio Sanchez. I'd just highly recommend checking out the Album/DVD called Speaking of Now. It includes one of those "All-Star" line ups. It's definitely worth a watch/listen, trust me it's changed the way I feel about jazz, and how to approach drum solos. Antonio plays his solos very very unique, utilizing  left foot syncopated cowbell patterns and Latin grooves over the top; however still keeping that jazzy feel. Such a great DVD/CD, and It's definitely worth buying. Peace.

I have a hard enough! time examining the work of the OLDER guys that make me feel inadequate without continuing the cycle . I did read his interview in M.D. and yup, sounds like another scarey guy to listen to. Maybe if i have a few Coronas it will lessen the stress .
