Hi all, I am new to the forum and was wondering if any of you could give me some advice selling a drum kit.

Basically, I have a Sonor force 1003 kit, not top of the range I know, but I have a lot of acessories/cymbals/stands with it and was wondering if anyone could give be a 'thereabout' price to sell it at as I havnt been in the 'drum scene' for quite some time.

Here is a list of what I have

Sonor force 1003 kit (floor tom, 2 tom tom's and snare drum. Very good condition)
14" Sabian XS Hi-Hat's (nearly new, hardly used)
Paiste PST3 20" ride
Paiste 200 18" crash (old, but still works)
Paiste PST5 16" crash (nearly new, excellent condition)
Sabian AA 12" splash (brand new, never used)
Sabian B8 10" splash (excellent condition)
Sonor Hi-Hat Stand (Brand new, hardly used)
Sonor Snare Stand (Brand new, hardly used)
x2 CB Boom Stands with 1 cymbal extension arm.
x2 Pearl Boom Stands
Premier Standard Stool
Joey Castillo percussion kit inc Tambourine + Jamblock
Cow bell
Hat Trick "Bonham" Jingle Ring
1 Stagg PP50  Bass Drum Pedal
Full set of QT silencer pads
Pair of brushes
2x pairs of Standard 5A sticks
1 Practice pad

Any replies and help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Will

Welcome to the Drummer Cafe ...

Please use the search feature to learn more about this topic; it's been answered quite a bit over the years.

Used gear, if in good condition, is generally worth 30% of the current retail. That is if it is in very good condition and not a collectible.

Find the retail price on all your gear.
Subtract 70% and that's the top dollar of what it's worth.

Of course people may pay more, but for most products you can purchase them brand new at 50% Off retail ... so you can't realistically hope to get more than 70% off for a used item in very good condition.

Cheers Mr Elliot, thanks for takeing the time to reply.

30% of the retail value is pretty cheap in my opinion (but being a current drum noob, my opinion holds no weight haha) but if you say its roughly the second hand buying rate, then I will go with that when I eventually come to sell it.

Thanks again.
