Hey hey, Mr. A,

I found this on Resurrection Drums' web site:

"GREGG BISSONETTE in clinic at One Nite Stan's Jazz Cafe. One Nite Stan's, in Hollywood FL, is 5 blocks east of I-95, on the north side of Hollywood Blvd, just past 24th Ave. Call 954-457-9020 for more info. Hear the latest from this monster drummer. Tickets are $5 at Resurrection Drums or at the door. First come, first served."

Can you believe it!  A drum clinic within 50 miles of my house.  Well, I'll be DIS.  Mind you, I don't know anything about his music, and I've never heard him play, but, what the heck, it says he's a "monster drummer" and it'll probably be the only drum clinic in Florida this Summer.

Ratt, you should definitely check Gregg out.

To me he's the epitome of an all-around drummer - he graduated from North Texas, toured with the Maynard Ferguson big band, and eventually ended up as the drummer for David Lee Roth, when he first split from Van Halen. As a player he's probably one of the guys I relate to most strongly - he's a schooled musician with a background in jazz who still knows how to ROCK.

Go to his clinic - you'll love it. He's a terrific player, a great teacher, he can play ALL styles, and has probably the BEST people skills in the entire industry - there is so much to be learned from the example he sets. Enjoy!

Definitely check him out.  He played on at least one CD by Joe Satriani (The Extremist) which is mainly what I have heard of him.  Good, tasteful, and SOLID.

Plus I've heard good things about his clinics.  He's apparently very personable and his clinics are not a "chops show".

THE EAT EM' AND SMILE album kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(David Lee Roth,  Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan)
Greg tears it f*n up.  This is a must have album for all you drummers out there!
(Greg put up a good effort at the drum off with Louis Belson and Dennis Chambers, and even though I love Greg's playing,  Chambers really chewed em' both up and spit em' out.
Speaking of Chambers,  is his lineup with Perazzo and Rekow the ultimate or what?

Saw them with Santana on an A&E special about a month ago.  WOW!  Chambers was great, but the percussionists stole the live show.
