Drummers Bozzio/Mastelotto
SHOW: 7 p.m. Saturday, January 18th
MASTER CLASS: 3 p.m. Saturday, January 18th
One World Theatre, 7701 Bee Cave Road, 512.329.6753

WORLD PREMIERE COLLABORATION WITH DRUMMERS TERRY BOZZIO AND PAT
MASTELOTTO AT ONE WORLD THEATRE

AUSTIN, Texas - Drum masters Terry Bozzio and Pat Mastelotto appear in
a world premiere collaboration at One World Theatre Saturday, January
18th with both a performance and master class.

The two world-renowned drummers currently reside in Austin and for the
first time have decided to combine their unique talents into one
performance. Terry Bozzio is the former drummer for Frank Zappa, Jeff
Beck and Missing Persons while Pat Mastelotto is the ex-drummer for Mr.

Mister and current drummer for King Crimson. Both drummers ended up in
Austin after escaping the earthquakes in California - Austin was a
natural choice for the musicians who had only met once or twice before
moving to Austin.

In this collaboration, the two neighbors will explore the entire
spectrum of percussion from ambient, melodic soundscapes to primitive
world beat grooves on a stage full of exotic instruments from around
the world. The One World show will be the first live performance for
the Bozzio/Mastelotto team. Their collaborations have previously been
confined to the studio where they are currently working on an album
together. The album will be available for sale at the One World
performance.

The Master Class at 3 pm will showcase the art of percussion and will
feature Bozzio and Mastelotto with a guest appearance by One World's
co-founder and Executive Director Hartt Stearns. Stearns was
percussionist for the Argentine band Arco Iris for 14 years. The Master

Class will include a question and answer session.

For additional information on performers, the theatre, seating and
schedules, visit www.oneworldtheatre.org. For more information on Terry

Bozzio, visit www.terrybozzio.com and visit www.king-crimson.com for
more on Pat Mastelotto.

I was looking at Delta Flights From CVG to AUS.  I used to see them for about $130.00 which I would say is worth it.

It's a two day drive for one and one day drive for two.  Grin

cheaptickets.com  $242.00 round trip.  More notice and they would have been cheaper.

OMG, could there be any more percussion on one stage?  Friggin' amazing!  I can't even decipher what a lot of that stuff is!
Looks like it was probably an amazing show, and I'm glad to see that they will be releasing it on DVD.  Very cool.
Waiting anxiously for that review....

Judging by those photos, that show should have been subtitled "A Drum Roadie's Vision of Hell."   Shocked

well actually, I read a Bozzio interview once, it was quite cool, he was going to give a clinic in Rotterdam (city in over here in holland), but his gear didnt arrive on time, so he just "build" a set himself in the store, and did the clinic on that, pretty cool. I dont see every "top" drummer doing that.

I just played at One World Theater this weekend with Hal Ketchum. It is a wonderful venue. The crew there told me that they had to set up the backline 4 times to get it right--whew, a lot of work.
Anyway, we played two sold out shows. The people there were great, but it was a challenge for me acoustically to play there. I had to be VERY aware of my dynamic levels.

I heard nothing but praises about their show though. I wish I could have been there.

Best Regards-
