So I got my cheapo brass snare and was naturally filled with the desire to put it somewhere on my kit.  Since I already have a thin drumkit timbale in "auxilliary snare position", I simply placed the snare underneath the timbale with enough real estate sticking out for an occasional whapping.  This arrangement, of course, created the sympathetic-timbale-snare.  The timbale now has a nice, danky piccolo snare aroma to it. If you liked D.W.'s Woofer, you must try the tweeter.
