anyone know what this keyboard instrumenet is?

so the only person i have recently seen useing this was the drummer for the band Jimmy Eat World. its based on a keyboard setup and uses round discs to make every note so that it can be played in a drumset percussion set up and use regular drum sticks. does anyone know what it is called and where i can find out more about them? they arent too common and for some reason i've had trouble finding anything like them. thanks

The only thing that comes to mind is something like the Zildjian Crotales which are pitched metal discs ... available in two octaves.

Paiste also makes something similar ... but I forgot what they call theirs.

Zach Lind uses those crotales, yea. So Bartman nailed it. He's listed on Zildjian's site, if you want to know specifically what he uses, or what they are.

Not a lot of drummers incorporate crotales into drumset playing, but a lot of percussionists use them.

I always wanted a set of these, back in the early 80's during my Peart worship phase. I settled for a set of 5 differently pitched woodblocks on a stand (La Villa Strangiata (SP?)). I put any kind of oddball stuff on my set back then, including bells form the inside of old phones (remember when they had bells inside?).
