i decided i want a 10" auxilliary snare (wood ar metal im not sure)
any reccomendations ?

Pork Pie

i've tried everyone of their little piccolo snares and IMHO, they simply rock.  so much mojo.  amazing that GC had the brains to carry them.  

another cool little snare i checked out was Tama's Mike Portnoy Melody Master 12x5 snare.  has two throw offs, for easy switching from tight pop, to a sloppier snap.  about as much as two snares, but its like having two in one.  very cool.
