hay
i decided i want a 10" auxilliary snare (wood ar metal im not sure)
any reccomendations ?
i have a few im looking at

i would aim toward getting one very different from what you have.  

wood for "pop", metal for "crack"

if youve got a wood main, a steel secondary would be nice strong compliment, whereas the wood would just be a higher pitched version of what you already have.  to me, the idea of a second is for variety ... mix it up.

i've tried everyone of their little piccolo snares and IMHO, they simply rock.  so much mojo.  amazing that GC had the brains to carry them.  Wink

another cool little snare i checked out was Tama's Mike Portnoy Melody Master 12x5 snare.  has two throw offs, for easy switching from tight pop, to a sloppier snap.  about as much as two snares, but its like having two in one.  very cool.
