I just went to my local guitar center and tried out one of the pork pie snares.  Typical of me, i forgot which kind, but it was like a maple, 20 strand, i think 14 in,  but im not sure, i can always check back, but it sounded SOOOO GOOD, it was a little over 200 bucks.  My question is... is that a good price, and where can i get it, or are there betters out there

I also tried out a cheap Pacific double bass pedal, which worked (to my suprise) extremely well, and was very smooth, even though i found it on music123 for like 100 bucks, I know there's a catch to this...

I love 'em too!! I have a 5x13 Pork Pie and it was $289 at GC, so if you see a 14 for less than that, I would say that it's a geat deal. Buy it!!!
