Does any one have any suggestions for good in-ear monitoring systems.  I am looking for something that can protect my hearing, has a nice programable click, and allows me to set my own mix for rehearsals and gigs.  Any good/bad experiences?

Search the Cafe - I know we discussed that a while ago. In particular Drumgun had some great input, as I recall. Maybe search through his posts...

I use a SHURE PSM200 personal in ear monitor system and really like it alot. A bit pricey @ $460 list but it does help hearing whatever you pump into your mixer.

That may have been one of the threads that got lost when the system went down.

I actually use a little 8 ch. mackie to mix a couple of signals to my Shure in ear system. This is actually a little overkill, because I could just use the headphone out on my mixer, but the In-ear system give me a limiter built in with a little more control.

I have a pair of the Shure E-1s that work really well. Only drawback is that they isolate maybe too well - I end up playing with one in and one halfway out. However, they're great headphones. Very clear; excellent (I think it's) impedence level. With everyone in the room independantly tweaking their levels, something will occasionally get sent to my board really hot; it would distort in my old phones (even with the volume turned down low), but the Shures never do.

For a click, most metronomes have earphone jacks.

For a mix, I actually use an old 4-track with a busted tape deck. Works for me.
