hey everyone
just got home from the gig
it felt so electric... i was not nervous at all
i was the least nervous one there and it was my first gig
i was just so @$%# anxious 10 min before show time
i wanted to start as soon as i touched the throne
anyway...
everything went as planned
except for the last 3 songs...
the bass player's amp died... so he had to pretend to play
and in the l;ast song, my hi-hat clutch came ubdone
that was no big deal though... i didnt need my hats open for the song anyway
so i guess in all, it went pretty good... the crowd seemed to like it a lot they particular liked "7 nation army" by the white stripes
that song is ridiculously(sp) easy to play...
well thats my report on the gig
i cant wait to play again

As you've learned, a good habit to get into is to check your clutch after every song.  Smiley

Sucks about the bass amp.  I like to watch my hi-hat extra carefully, just in case, so that I may be able to play by myself if I have to.

Also, if you've the space and resources, it's not a bad idea to carry spare picks, cables, strings, etc. for your guitarists/bassists, because Murphy's Law will say that they'll forget 'em. Grin  Just don't clue them in to your possession of these articles, as they'll come to depend on you.

I'm not a particularly slow player, yet I don't play fast.  I play half-fast.

Grin  I know thats right!!  Leave my ducktape alone!! It's mine!!!!  Mine all mine!!!!!!! Grin

Its good to also keep with you extra washers, wingnuts, felts,
screws, little wrenches and screwdrivers.  I keep mine in a plastic ziplock which is really convenient because I can see everything without having to dig.
