Quite a list Rita. You must be the type that has a CD player with you at all times.

What you listed above triggers some great memories for me. My Dad was WAY into the bossa nova bands of the early and mid sixties. Those were my lullaby records and I would fall asleep to them in my playpen.

One of his favorite singers was Astrud Gilberto.



Oddly enough, I met her son Marcelo when I was in my teens. He's a monster bass player and was playing with a local band (New Facade, who I ended up playing with later) for a time in Philadelphia. I sat in with him once or twice and learned that his Mom was "The Girl From Ipanema."
