Neato! Not to be too anal retentive... but (more often than not) his ride and tom-tom were mounted on the bass drum, not on stands.  That would be a cool kit to have. Thanks for posting it catman.  |

That is an absolutely awesome set. One of my top 3 dream kits for sure. I mean, I'd get some Silver Dots on them and just groove man, slam them hard. I would eternally debate on wheter I should use a double pedal on it though  I thought they'd sell them for more. Put they ain't a gift either |

When I was in high school, I had the black and white zebra striped VistaLites Bonzo used on ocassion. I mean, not the actual set he used, but ...well, you get the picture. Anyway, like all youth, impetuous and stupid, I sold it. I still kick myself everyday at least once for that  |

At the risk of being sneered, jeered and smeared on this board: 1) the color is ugly, 2) there's a reason they don't make many vistalite kits any more...they sound like POOP!! 3) how expensive can vistalite be to produce...at $2900 I'd say this kit seems way over priced. yeah, they pretty much suck I've heard. I've never owned one. I know one guy that swears by vistalite snares.
I'd probably go with a Zickos or Fibes if I wanted acrylic shells.

I would buy this kit if I really had tons of extra money lying around, which I dont. Im with everyone that thinks they probably sound like crap just on their own with no kind of added effects and no JB playing them |

I still kick myself everyday at least once for that I saw a blue-and-clear candy-striped version at *ahem* the centralized location for guitars a few months ago. It was being reheaded; the guy didn't know what heads to use or how to put them on, so *snicker* he --HAW-Haw-Haw-- asked the sales clerks at the store to do this!I took a look at the heads. They put an Evans Genera Dry on. the. snare. Coated G2's on the toms. I admired the finish of the shells, double-checked the sticks I bought for warpage upon seeing this, and got the hell out of there. |
