I got some Tommy Lee model Ahead sticks and they seem to be really doing a number on my kit.  The heads are denting and it seems like I'll crack a cymbal relatively soon if I keep going at this rate.  I'm not even swinging hard at all either, it seems that the only way I can keep things safe is to play ridiculously lightly.  Is this common for all ahead model sticks, or should I just try different models?  I like the feel and the look, but the damage can't be tolerated.  I don't have enough cash to be replacing heads and cymbals every few weeks.
