Has anyone seen a means of mounting an audix tom mic to a gibraltar djembe pro stand? I've been harassing the local music store guys for years, and as far as they know there is no such thing. All it needs to be is some sort of hardware clamp with a small pole on it, then another small clamp that has the threads on it for mounting a mic. I'm thinking something like a cowbell mount would do the trick, only there doesn't appear to be anything that has the mic thread pattern on it. If someone knows of a manufacturer and can post a link, I'd appreciate it.

Mic-Eze makes a few different models all based on the same principle.  The spring clamp that screws tight and a variety of arms and hinges.

I'd just do the obvious thing and use a separate mike stand.

I've been using a boom stand for about 4 years now, and the drum always moves out from under it. (I'm a pretty hard hitter) I need something attached to the drum stand itsself so when it does move, the mic moves with it. I tried a spring clamp, they aren't solid enough, they actually fall off during the intense parts. Anything else out there? Goosenecks don't work either, they bounce.

I use a small mike, almost like a small radio vocal mike that i clamp to the top rope of the djembe, works like a charm and gets wicked bass out of it.

Hmmmmm......how about changing the height/angle of the djembe so it doesn't move around so much?  Also, a medium pile rug or something else that's slip resisitant could help.
