The Drummer Cafe has a wealth of knowledgeable members, many of whom build/make custom drums and/or percussion instruments; seriously or as a hobby.

Here's the new board ... a place for you to discuss and share all of your experiences, techniques, how-to-do-it-yourself, etc.

Great Idea.  Todd, I know you are planning to get more into this?  I will look forward to reading some of your experiences with it. I know that James has a wealth of knowlege in this too.  Maybe Timekeeper69 with his Medicine Man Snares should be in this thread too?

You weren't referring to Oklahoma's, by chance? Grin  It's my experience that they've ruined it.

It has gone downhill the last 10 years or so.  I keep hoping for an improvement each year but I was disappointed again.
