I have an IC but I think the beaters are too heavy, what should I do? My teacher has a pearl quadbeater which he customised by taken the felts off, and cutting one side of, making it a very light beater. Or, should I get other beaters like the Slug Percussion beaters?

You have an Iron Cobra and the beaters are too heavy??  Really???  Those are some of the lighter beaters I've seen!!  Iron Cobra's come with the small flat round beater right?  They should have an adjustable weight on the beater shaft, you can move that further down the shaft, or take it off.

If you want a really light beater, Slug has a titanium shaft beater, i'm sure it is rather light.

Well they are pretty light, but my teacher installed some ultralight beaters on class and it felt way better, and I was way faster.

I had one of those plastic resin type beaters with one side having a felt pad on it.  The dag-on thing ended up having stress cracks on it and I ended up getting a Maple beater instead.  I think the other beater's name was a dw type.
