I am looking at these used drums and know nothing about them. The person that is selling them said he got them new in 1979. I think they might be birch, but dont know. It is a five piece with some concerts toms. Was this a high line kit and what do think of them. They are in perfect condition. I have no idea what they are worth. Huh

Though I'm not sure, I think this kit might have been Yamaha's first foray into the American drum market. I remember seeing ads and thinking "Wow they make stereos and motorcycles, I didn't know they made drums".

Don't know what kind of wood they used back then. Mr. A. or Bart might have a line on it.

Arent the 9000's the Recording Customs?   If so, those are very nice drums, you can hear 'em on pretty much anything Gadd played on around those years if I aint mistaken.

The seller said they are the recording customs. They are a amber color. I know it is hard to put a value as to what they are worth but if anybody has an idea it will help me out. Seller wants $1300, drum sizes 6,8,10,12,13,14,18,24, and a metal snare hardware included.
