Sorry to say John Guerin died on Jan. 5th and I didn't even know about it. He passed away from flu complications in a hospital 5 minutes from my house.
John was a drummer that my teacher in Miami turned me on to before coming to L.A.

John was the guy who did the now famous drum part in Hawaii 5-0.

I posted the news on the 6th at Drumsmith, I apologize for forgetting my buddies here. (I got word from one pro via another pro who wound up calling John at home, not knowing he had passed a few hours earlier.)

What's really weird is that I had a VERY strong urge to listen to Court & Spark that Monday night, and listened through the next morning. I was in the car shortly afterwards and got the word by cel. Very strange.

Some of us at Drumsmith sent his wife Michelle a plant and some kind words.
