I have a question about these ...

I always see them pictured three together. Does anyone know if they are tuned differently? They look the same size.

I own these.

They are the same size, and are tuned differently.
The tuning, which is permanent, is done by a slat of wood up inside the drum. There's slat is positioned further away from the playing surface, creating more air space ... thus dropping the pitch. And there's a port hole to allow the air to escape.

I've discussed the cajongas several times here on the forum. Here's one link to my original discussion. You can search the database for more such posts.

You may not have searched far enough back. When searching through the past two years, here are several other posts, not that they will necessarily be that informative, but here they are nonetheless.

Hi Drummer Cafe,

Hope all is well! Are there good Schlagwerk retailers in the US or online?

Thanks,

Jorge Ginorio

Uwe Salwender is the president and founder of Salwender International. He sells Schlagwerk percussion, and is located Orange County, California, USA.

I bought my Schlagwerk cajongas from him in person at PASIC about four years ago. Great guy, and very honest. He treated me right and I got a great deal.

Here's his contact info:

Uwe Salwender

And tamboricua, in my opinion and the opinion of several LP (nameless) endorsers, the Schlagwerk cajons in general are WAY better than anything LP puts out. I think they make some of the best cajon products in the world. The several LP endorsers that are friends of mine own Schlagwerk cajons to use for sessions, and then use the LP stuff when in public.   Undecided

I am looking into getting Schlagwerk Yambu Peruano. The sound sample is so good on their website. Sounds like a peruvian cajon but you play it like a conga.  I emailed Salwender but haven't hear back yet. It seems schlagwerk products are hard to locate here in US.
