Mite be time to consult some other type doctor. I've goin the chiropractor's in the past and they hepled me on a number of occasions. Since this one can't seem to help you and if she says she doesn't know what is the cause of your problemis, you may want to see a orthopedic. I'm not talking of surgery, but he/she mite have some knowledge as to what is going on in your areas of trouble.Something I would do. Just my thought on the matter,Good luck.

Your normal doctor may be the best idea as they can refer you to the right specialist.  Surgery is a last resort for neck problems.
I have cervical spondylosis in my upper neck and for years suffered with secondary muscle strains and physio sessions which got too frequent and i was refered for an x ray. As a result i was given muscle relaxants and anti inflamatries which worked well. I didn't want to take these for the rest of my life and have weaned off those and surviving very well on natural remedies as well as management of what and how i do things ( taking it easy, or become a lazy b Smiley).
My drumming has been much better as a result and i am playing loose as ever again.  Cool

Find out your exact problem, insist on professional answers or change doctors.
Find a friendly solution, could be as simple as improving one's posture.
Best of luck to returning to the kit in comfort.

Are you doing any exercises, strengtheing the muscles opposite the tight muscles? Are you stretching to loosen up the tight muscles?

all of that, once i had my spine ajusted the general pain subsised and the pain became more isolated, then when i went back for another appointment i could further relate what i though was happening, this guy i went to is good, been going to him for years, he showed me what to do. when i left his office i was pain free for the rest of the day, some of it has come back but i'm woring on it , and it is getting better, sad thing is after i got whacked by the drunk driver i kinda stopped my tea kwon do training and that is the main reson my body went to hell on me, i think i better start practicingt again real soon

I have been recovering from a pinched nerve in my neck and yesterday I received my first chiropratic therapy. So far it seems to have helped and my pains are less severe. I go back for another treatment on Saturday. This seems to be better than just taking a bunch of pills and waiting. Overall the pain has been getting less sharp and becoming more like aches but even though they are less painful it wears me down because they are constant. Nightime is the worst. I hope this therapy will help me recover faster.

here's what you need to do, bro:   go to a neurologist and have an emg, etc. done.

at least its just your right arm.  i'm dealing with both right now.
