I've been drumming for 19 yrs. since just a few months before my 12th birthday in 1984, I'll be 30 yrs.old this October 30th.
This past year, well since last June to now, I have practiced 4-6 days a week for 2-3 hours. I can't tell you how much my feel and creativity has improved as well as so many other things.
Some very simple things that helped me were-
Streching before playing
Warming up on the kit
Getting up to stretch after 20-30 minutes of practicing
Experimenting with different positioning of drums, cymbals, throne height, how close I am to the bassd drum and snare and hi-hat height as well.
And finally breathing deeply and often has helped me sit up straight and to focus more on the task at hand without my mind wandering or noodling on the kit. Sometimes you gotta get up, splash some cold water on your face, sit and chill, look at your drums....tell them you love them and the two of you have come such a long way together and your proud of your accomplishments both of you have achieved. Sounds silly, but when you spend so much time with them, show them you care!!!!

Perhaps your right BanimalG. SEE, I'm coming from, I wonder if I can say....the Evans forum, so if you've ever been over there you'd know sarcasm is the response to everything, so I was afraid it looked like the same thing over here. Sorry, your right, it ain't worth it. Thanks for looking out.

Clean, there seems to be some confusion as to the difference between a joke and an insult. I don't think you're the one that's confused, though.
