Was trying to find out where I could buy just the chain drive to a DW 5000 pedal.  The teeth on mine are worn down and the pedal isn't operating smoothly anymore.  Went to DW's web site and they don't list just the chain drive as a separate bass drum pedal part/accessory.  So, now I'm thinking that one cannot be purchased.  I searched ebay in 'Parts/Accessories' and included 'chain drive' among other similar seach strings and only got pedals themselves.

Anyone ever seen these things sold by themselves?  Again, it's just the actual chain drive part with the teeth.  Doesn't even matter if it comes with the chain or not.  It looks like the one in the picture:

Any ideas??  Has this ever happened to any of you guys?

Scott,

This is actually referred to as the sprocket. I replaced mine a few years ago. IIRC, I bought it at either a Sam Ash store or a Guitar Center here in L.A. Took me about an hour to take it apart and replace it.

This probably will work and it's about $3 cheper than when I bought mine:

Thanks a million, Jim.   Wink

Just performed the same search as before replacing 'chain drive' with 'sprocket' and got some good results, including the music123 hit.
