I have to work out a drumsolo first.  I've been puttering on one and our band does indeed have a digital video camera now, so the important question is; does the camera always add 10 lbs?

I like videotaping myself playing, it shows me how I'm progressing in learning. I look back on this one and I see that I'm a LOT better now Smiley Thankfully, lol

What kind of splash is that in your video?

It looked like you have it really tightened down on the cymbal arm.

I'd loosen it up some or it will eventually crack.

Yes i agree that thing will crack if its kept at that tightness, its got a strange sound to it at that tightness anyway.
Still good quality video.

The one on the right is an Ice Bell, it's thick (like, cast) and it's very tight because it doesn't flex. The splash (the on left) is actually rather loose. I just watched it for the first time in months and I'm actually ashamed, lol I'm glad I've learned a lot, I should post some more recent video where I'm not so sloppy. As far as cracking the ice bell, I don't think I could crack it if I drove over it with my car! Smiley They're excetionally thick and have an odd sound (it's a bell, not a cymbal), but I like it. I don't like it enough to have paid $80 for it (got mine at a garage sale for like $20), but I like it.

MasterDrum,
Do you have any other pictures? This one is fuzzy.

BTW, I do like Tommy of the band God Complex's kit in your signature.

It's called Old Faithful, his  20 year old Swingstar kit.
