SABIAN ‘DREAM SPOT’ CONTEST RETURNS; ONE LUCKY UNDISCOVERED BAND TO WIN COVETED PERFORMANCE SPOT ON VANS WARPED TOUR

Bands Across North America Vie for Access to Tour Stage, Plus $10,000 in Band Gear and Drummer Endorsement

SABIAN, Ltd., the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of music cymbals, announced today the return of the SABIAN Dream Spot competition.  The second annual promotional contest will give one lucky undiscovered band the chance to play 10 dates on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour.  The winning band will earn the opportunity to play the “Kevin Says” stage, the launching pad for many SABIAN bands including “My Chemical Romance,” “Fall Out Boy” and “Avenged Sevenfold.”

SABIAN, along with partner Cafesonique.com, will accept online submissions between

April 1 and May 23.  The winning band will be revealed on July 1. In addition to a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, the winner will receive $10,000 in band gear credit at a participating SABIAN retailer; a one-year SABIAN endorsement for the band’s drummer; and a one-year 3D micro-site on cafesonique.com.

Last year’s inaugural SABIAN Dream Spot competition was the largest in the company’s history. As a result, this year’s contest is set to be bigger and better, according to Stacey Montgomery-Clark, SABIAN’s director of marketing.

“We are extremely excited to bring SABIAN Dream Spot back for its second year,” Montgomery-Clark said. “With the overwhelmingly positive feedback and band participation last year, it was a rather easy decision to go all out again this year with a huge grand prize, music industry judges, fan voting and a dedicated ad campaign.”

SABIAN Dream Spot competition details include:

• From April 1 to May 23, bands interested in entering the contest can visit www.sabian.com or www.cafesonique.com and submit three original songs in MP3 format, along with a video and a brief bio about their band.

• Between May 26 and June 15 the selection committee, comprised of SABIAN’s artist relations personnel plus Vans Warped Tour representatives including Founder Kevin Lyman, will select the 10 finalists.

• On June 16, the 10 finalists’ videos and songs will be posted on www.sabian.com and www.cafesonique.com for consumer voting.

• The band receiving the most fan votes will be announced on July 1^st

• The lucky Dream Spot winner will hit the road with the Vans Warped Tour in August.
