Drum Workshop Executive Vice President and drum designer John Good has announced the addition of bamboo to the complete line of DW Collector’s Series snare drums.

“We’re always looking for different snare sounds that drummers can add to their arsenal,” Good said.

The horizontally constructed stave shells can be finished in any of DW’s custom offerings, including Lacquer, Satin Oil, and Hard Satin. Custom orders can be complemented with any four available drum hardware colors: Chrome, Black Chrome, Satin Chrome and 24-Karat Gold. Other features include DW’s Delta ball-bearing throw-off, True-Tone® snare wires and DW heads by Remo USA.

“Bamboo provides a bright, high-end crack with plenty of body,” Good continued. “It’s a nice middle ground between our vintage metal line and the warmth of a traditional maple or birch shell.”

The drums come in 4x14” and 5.5x14” and can be ordered alone or as part of any DW Collector’s Series drum set.
