Hi folks, I'm Stefan, 61, from Colorado. Have been playing since I was about 10, though did take about 15 years off from playing, until I started back in earnest, some 13 years ago. Had (and still have) an older set of Ludwig Club Dates, which I finally retired, for a new set of Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute Nouveus, which I purchased in 2010. I have a jazz background, played country and rock in college, and now play old school R & B, in a group I co-founded 7 years ago.  We try and gig out about 2x/month, but that doesn't always happen. Glad I happened upon this forum and had a chance to check in.  :)

Hey Stefan, which part of Colorado? I played in the Army Band there in the 60's. Traveled all around that state. My wife grew up in Leadville. Even tho we live in Minnesota, I have many great memories from living there. There's a good chance you've seen me play.  8)

Re: Chip Donaho-Northern Denver suburbs. Saw the Army band in a Christmas concert in Longmont, CO about 5 years ago.  They're always good. I played in the Denver Concert Band for about a year, when I resumed playing a few years ago, but quickly got back into kit (set) playing shortly thereafter.

Hey everyone, Im Andy, I live in central arkansas. I have been playing drums for 25 years. I have played on a regular basis at church for the last 10 years but have never taken the initiative to better my playing or my skills. That ship has sailed and i am on a new and improved ship to improve and advance. I have heard many very good things about the Drummer Cafe community and the resources here and would like to use them and contribute when I can.

Hi folks. I'm new here, but spent some time here in the mid 2000's. Took a long break from active drumming to teach, study, raise my daughter and learn as much as I could without a regular gig. Cymbalholic took most of my online time and I'm trying something new. Daughter #2 on the way in the next week! Finally  reunited with some old musical buddies and had the opportunity to work on a EP for a singer / songwriter named Sara Morgan from KC and Arkansas. Live in Little Rock now and record and play whenever I have an opportunity. Here is a song that is one of my favorites from the new record. I hope you like it and look forward to learning more from the mass expertise on this site. Hello to all my cymbalholic friends and hello to drummer cafe friends I hope to meet.  Best regards, Chris

Hello, my name is Yann. I'm a complete beginner at drumming, but I co-invented an air drumming instrument with a drummer friend. I'm joining drummer café to participate around discussions about air-drumming, and more I hope.

I'm really excited the instrument made Drummer Café's news today :)

Hi all, my name is Todd Rathkamp.  I've known about Drummer Cafe for a while, but had not idea there was such a thriving community here.

I have a small hobby business making drums, but more importantly, I've been playing and digesting all things drum for 38 years.

I'm looking forward to "meeting" you guys!

Hey guys,

I'm new here to this forum. My name is Sven and I'm a Belgian drummer (30 years old). I recently started my own business as a drum teacher/drummer. I'm here to meet new people, get more inspiration and have some nice talks to other drummers :-)
