Great clips in this thread!

It is a privilege to be able to see and hear them.

I hope you enjoy these 2 of me on percussion. I may have posted the second one once about a year ago, am not sure. The first is of a brother and I jamming, filmed by another brother. The second is of me soloing.

Hope you enjoy!

Sorry I haven’t been here for a while, ‘I am but a worm’ etc…  :-[

I have finally got an mp3 from our new album for you all, I think my drumming is a bit more musical than on the last one, that’s mainly because I have ran out of talent & don’t practice as much as I used to, so I can’t play as much of the self indulgent rubbish nowadays..

 http://www.isor.net/media/ISOR-Dykes-Make-My-Sperm-Strike.mp3]MP3 File

I am finding it hard to get really ‘into’ drums at the moment, but I am looking forward to the touring on this album & I am hoping it will re-kindle the drumming flame & you will see me here a bit more often..

Cheers

N

Hi Riot,

Thanks!

They are planning it over the next month or so, but I have been told that they will hopefully include US & Australian dates as well as the UK & European shows.

I am guessing it’s dependent on pre-sales, but that the moment they are going quite well so who knows… I would really like to do the US & OZ dates even if it’s only 5-7 shows each, I have never been to ether country & have always wanted to…

I have just been watching your video, cool stuff! Just the kind of thing I am into, have you guys got any CD’s for sale?

Cheers

 :)

Hey guys...I know I rarely contribute as a member here and I apologize, and more so for dumping more youtube bandwidth here, but I thought I'd shamelessly post a couple video clips from a concert I worked this week.

This was a performance billed under the pianist's name.  We were playing his compositions.  The first clip is just a vamp/harmonic figure he gave us before the gig to improvise on.  Still just a simple 32 bar thing. So, we do take a few liberties.
Second (and third) clip...part one and two...are of a tune that the pianist composed for a friend who passed away.
Anyway, we had some fun.

"X-Set" (a last-minute improvised piece):

"Yours Truly" Part 1 :

 "Yours Truly" Part 2 :

Thanks for watching!  :)

p.s. if you're really geeky, you can go to the youtube page for each video and click the "watch in high quality" link and watch it without so much compression.

I've had some free time this year, and just started back up playing.
Here's one thing I made:
http://www.rhythmstop.com/sounds/poowebclip.mp3

I basically have been soloing to a click, finding some ideas that I like, then run with them and sort of arrange them and then I put weird ambient sounds over them.

The other things I did, which were much less rhythmically boring, but will make South Park fans really are these:
http://www.rhythmstop.com/sounds/tourette%27s.mp3

And Towelie:

I had a lot of fun making them, and it can be a little humbling to hear yourself play fills badly that you thought you could play well.  :)

Here is a video of my electronic pedal invention.
I play a bass drum and conga slaps with my right foot, and clapping with my left.

OK, here's me playing with Mr Dangerous circa 1990 (I think it's a montage of the Troubadour, The Marquee and some other place in L.A.).  Thanks for indulging my blast from the past.  YIKES all around!

Alright everyone, I'm new here.

Go to www.myspace.com/carlossolorzano and hear the sound of the Desert Drummer

I write drumming compositions based on world rhythms and drumset solos that are also based on world rhythms.

Both types of samples are on my MS page.
