drum notation and Cuba
« on: February 21, 2009, 06:17 PM »
Hi Bart,

1. Where could I get drum notation for the following:In My Life and Come Together by the Beatles?

2. I am going to Cuba on Feb. 26 for a visit, do you know of any drummers/clubs that I should check out?

As far as the notation goes, I would do some searching on the Internet. There's bound to be someone who has charted this out, or at the very least drum tab. There may be a Drummer Cafe member that has a chart to share with you; perhaps John Kerr.

I don't personally know of any specific clubs in Cuba to recommend to you. There are a lot of great drummers and percussionists in Cuba. One individual you should try to go see/hear or take a lesson from is Changuito.

I recommend that you contact my friend]Chuck Silverman  regarding Cuba. Chuck offers yearly trips to Cuba for individuals to study drums and percussion. He should be able to give you some good suggestions on clubs and drummers to check out.
