Concerto Della Donna & Repercussion

Concerto Della Donna will be presenting the final concert of its season on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at 8:00 pm at KoSA Arts Centre, 3525 Crowley, NDG.


Concerto Della Donna will be joined by guest artistes Repercussion in this, the choir's final concert of its 10th anniversary season. The repertoire will include exciting and colourful musicfrom Africa and South America for women's choir and percussion, including anew work by percussionist Robert Lépine. In addition, Concerto Della Donna will perform works by Canadian composer Allan Bevan, taken from repertoire which will be recorded this summer for a new album of his music.

ConcertoDella Donna is a dynamic group of young singers based in Montreal, under the direction of Maestro Iwan Edwards. Their emotionally-driven and highly communicative performances have captivated audiences at home and abroad for the past ten years. The ensemble's goal is to produce vibrant performances of both serious and light-hearted repertoire, while demonstrating the strength and beauty of young women's voices through technical precision and emotional depth.
