Hahahaha!! Outstanding observation, Todd!

How refreshing to see a young talent exploring a tried and true musical approach to drumming vs. the launching of another showboat. And did you notice our little man can read? Looks to me like he has the transcription on a music stand in front of his kit.

Kudos to him, his family & his teacher for sure. If I find out he doesn't have one I'll be speechless!  :o

Hey Frank - those kits are cool. We have one in the boys playroom downstairs. I've actually used it on a few gigs!

Oops - I missed that too - and stand corrected, thx Bart! Props to the young lady!!!

Hi Frank - which brand? Is that what you meant? If so, ours is Percussion Plus. I think there's a few different brands using the same gear out there.

Indeed! But in a very qualified way - w/a couple small, acoustic-oriented acts in the most intimate of venues. Worked like a dream. And, of course, I tricked the baby out w/really nice heads and supplement it w/nice cymbals, etc.

I bought the kit as a gift for my nephew 10-12 years ago. He's grown now & never really did anything w/it so it was re-gifted to us after my first son was born. Both my boys have a good bash now & then. They're not what we would call "serious drummers" and I'm not trying to create "mini-me's" but they each have a few slick moves for their age and it keeps them from assulting "daddy's expensive drums" in the studio.

Most of the time.  ;)

Very very cool! And it's played with "childlike" innocence and comfort. Heck yeah!

I am a little late on this, but that was cool. Good for her!
