On this day, December 21st, back in 2001, I purchased the Drummer Cafe domain name and formed this community forum.

Happy Anniversay Drummer Cafe!

Thank you for your participation in this community as well as helping my vision and endeavors come to life.

Happy Anniversary Drummer Cafe!

I think I first signed on late in 2001, maybe early 2002.

Bart, you continue to educate the drumming community in a close-to-perfect atmosphere.

Thank you, on behalf of myself and many others, for your efforts to keep the Cafe such a great place for the intelligent exchange of ideas.

Bart,
What you have done for the entire drum community is incredible and we're all so grateful for what you have accomplished since that first domain purchase.  Your style, class and demeanor has set the tone for all of us in our very tight fraternity and we all owe you so much.
Thanks for keeping us in the circle and the next 10 years will be just as sweet!

I can't believe I've developed such an emotional attachment to a website! I've never met anyone here in person, yet I feel connected to so many of you.  I continue to learn and grow as a musician... and this place is a part of that.

Thanks Bart (and everyone else).

Bart, congratulations!
Although I don't visit the site nearly as much as I used to back when I joined in 2003, it's still the only drumming community I ever recommend to my fellow drummers/percussionists.  It's always been top-notch, and as busy as I know I am, you're busier -- so I have no idea how you keep up on it as well as you do, ever evolving it and adding features, functionality, etc.
And having spent some time with you on a few occasions, I can also say that you're a great guy, and genuinely care about the people you created this forum to serve.  Thanks for a great ten years!

I want to thank YOU, Keith, for all that you've done for this drum community over the past decade.

Without Keith's assistance as forum moderator, over the years, we wouldn't have the balanced community that we now have.

FYI ... I mentioned Keith in my morning vlog yesterday.

Congratulations Bart, 10 years is quite an accomplishment in any aspect of life, let alone the fickle Internet! Thanks for all te hard work, educational resources and years of information. Thanks for allowing such a collection of diverse folks a place to exchange information and ideas without being bullied for having a unpopular opinion. Here's to 10 more years.
The techniques, though they play an important role in the early stage, should not be too restrictive, complex or mechanical. If we cling to them, we will become bound by their limitation.  Any technique, however worthy and desirable, becomes a disease when the mind is obsessed with it.

Sorry I missed this post.  Seems I'm a little late to the party.

Congratulations, Bart, for 10 years of the best all-around drumming resource on the web.  The Cafe is well run, the members are friendly & helpful, and the information shared is invaluable.  There is something here for every drummer - regardless of age; regardless of what kind of drumming you do.

Your hard work and dedication to making the Cafe the best is much appreciated.

I'm thrilled we've become friends over the years and have had opportunities to hang together.  And thanks much for the DC interview - much appreciated!  That was a fun day.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Even more exciting news is that January 1st marked the 15-Year-Anniversary for the entire Drummer Cafe site ... formerly known as The Drum Ring International (1997-2001), which was renamed Drummer Cafe when I purchased the domain name in 2001.

Congrats Bart.  Your contributions to the drumming community are immeasureable.  This really is the "one-stop shop" for all things related to drumming.  Besides the diverse and well-behaved forum contributors, I remain amazed with the quality and value of the resources and PRess Roll Newsletter.  Here's to the next 10 years being even better.

Well, please allow me to offer my belated congratulations on 10 years of DC!

I can’t even begin to express how much I’ve learned from the outstanding resource that is the Drummer Café.

Bart, I know you put a ton of time and hard work into this incredible environment (“site” seems to be an inadequate description), and it is much appreciated.

Try to imagine if the Drummer Café  didn’t exist.  Yes, it would be awful!

Thanks for everything, Bart!
