Hello, everyone.

I'm trying to find a height-adjustable snare stand that's short enough to accommodate standing 5-8 yr old students on practice pads ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002F5CAQ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=drummercafe-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0002F5CAQ]Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Exactopad ).  Also, the stands will occasionally be used to hold concert snare drums.

What are your recommendations or suggestions?

Thanks!

Any snare drum stand that is meant for a drumset is going to work for you. Once they get tall enough, you'll need to purchase a concert snare drum stand.

There are snare drums, for drumset, that are marketed as being able to go very low.

Here's a selection that you can choose from (see link below). Take in account, not only the price, but the weight and versatility. If the student is going to have to transport this stand back and forth to school, you'll want to get something light-weight.
