Meinl Gen x Filter China
« on: June 13, 2012, 11:05 AM »
Wondering if anyone has any input on these? Can't find many reviews online (forgot to try musicians friend)

The product description seems to be what I'm looking for... Slighty quieter, Fast & sharp with an almost sinister sound and a shorter sustain.

Thinking of flipping my 20" China Trash and picking one up.

Thanks in advance.
Walter

We used to carry the Filter Chinas and I really liked them. With the holes and wavy edges the sound is super trashy and fairly fast. Like you said they do have a bit of a sinister sound but that's what makes them cool. A great effects cymbal.
